Buck-A-Ticket™
Privacy Policy
Effective date: [EFFECTIVE DATE]
This policy explains what information buckaticket.com collects, why, and what happens to it. The site is run by Wifinium, LLC ("Wifinium", "we", "us") to tell Minor League Baseball clubs about the Buck-A-Ticket™ program.
What we collect
Information you give us. When you fill out the contact form, we collect:
- your name
- your club (or the organisation you enter under "Other")
- your email address
- your phone number, if you give one
- whether you'd like us to respond by email or phone
Information collected automatically. When you submit the form, we also record:
- the date and time
- the page you submitted it from
- the country you were in, estimated from your IP address
- a scrambled (hashed) version of your IP address, used only to stop the form being abused. We do not store your actual IP address, and we delete the scrambled version after 24 hours.
Browsing the site. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits. It doesn't use cookies and doesn't track you across other websites. It gives us totals, such as how many people visited a page, not information about you.
Why we use it
We use the information from the contact form only to:
- respond to your request by your preferred method
- send you information about Buck-A-Ticket™, including our non-disclosure agreement so we can discuss specifics
- keep a backup record of your request so it isn't lost if an email fails to arrive
We don't sell your information, use it for advertising, or add you to a mailing list.
Who we share it with
- Wifinium's sales team. Your request is emailed to our sales team so they can reply to you.
- Cloudflare. Our hosting provider. Cloudflare runs the website, stores the backup record of your request, delivers the email to our sales team, and provides the website analytics. It also provides Turnstile, a tool that checks that form submissions come from a person and not an automated bot. To do that, Turnstile collects your IP address, technical details of your browser's connection and software (its TLS fingerprint and User-Agent), and which website you're on. Cloudflare uses these only to detect and block bots, not to identify, profile or target you. See Cloudflare's privacy policy and the Turnstile privacy addendum.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it.
How long we keep it
- Your request on our website systems: 12 months after you submit it, then deleted automatically.
- The scrambled IP address: 24 hours.
- The email to our sales team: once you're talking with our sales team, your request and any follow-up conversation become part of our normal business records and are kept as long as we need them for that relationship.
Cookies
The site doesn't use cookies for advertising or tracking. Turnstile may use information stored in your browser that is strictly necessary to tell people and bots apart, as described in the Turnstile privacy addendum above.
Your choices
You can ask us to:
- tell you what information we hold about you
- correct it
- delete it
Email [PRIVACY CONTACT EMAIL] and we'll respond within 30 days. If you'd rather not use the form, you can also contact us by email directly at sales@wifinium.com.
Security
Information sent through the form is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). Access to stored requests is limited to the people who need it to respond to you.
Children
This site is for businesses and isn't directed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect information from them.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we'll update it on this page and change the effective date above.
